ALBERTINE 1921
Albertine is a very beautiful very vigorous rambler/climber bred by the Barbier nursery in France in 1923.
Large, double, loose blooms of the loveliest salmon pink open in
clusters in July completly covering the very vigorous canes. We find it has a very
intense, sweet smell. It's foliage is very shinny green and healthy. The canes are covered
with large brown awe like thorns.
Hardy to zone 5. Some years we have quite a bit of dieback on the upper most parts of the
canes here in our Halifax, zone 5 gardens. It manages to spring back quite successfully.
ONCE BLOOMER parentage: A cross between the Rosa wichurana and Mrs. Arthur
