Heirloom Roses of Halifax, N.S. grows many hardy shrub roses on their own roots.

Bonica
Shrub/groundcover rose (1958)
This shrub rose is very popular in gardens for it displays all the prerequisites we want in a rose - continious blooms all summer, beautiful double blooms, healthy foliage and vigorous growth habits. Bonicas' double blooms of medium pink fading fast into pearl pink are born in small clusters. These blooms remind me of Royal Dalton's porcelan roses. Foilage is deep green and glossy. Grows about 3'x4' wide on its own roots. Reliably hardy to zone 4b.
