Bright Melody

BUCK Shrub Rose

Bright Melody was bred in 1984. It is classified as a shrub rose but it looks much like a hybrid Tea. The large deep red buds open into double, high centered 4.5" blooms of pure, red; not orange red or purplish red. Blooms are born in clusters of 1-20. It has a lovely sweet fragrance. Repeats very well.
The plant has healthy dark, glossy green foliage. Good disease resistance to blackspot & mildew. Makes a lovely upright, branching bush will grow about 3'.

Hardy to zone 4. In zones below 5, it will die back to the crown if not protected. If so it will spring up and bloom again by early July.
