Jenny Duval
"President de Seze", "Mme Hebert"
Gallica 1836
A very beautiful and wonderfully fragrant rose of
old. This is our daughter, Michelle-Lee's favorite rose!
Flowers have an unusual colouring; starting out
magenta/lilac with pale lilac outer petals that fade to
blue/purple before falling. Blooms are very double and
well shaped. Jenny as all gallicas, blooms once a year
for about four weeks.
Nice tidy bush of 4' x 3' wide and tall. Very healthy
and disease resistant. Place in late afternoon shade so
the blooms do not get bleached out for best colour.
Very nice cut flowers in clusters. Hardy to zone 4
