Royal Edward
Explorer Shrub/groundcover(1995)

The first hardy semi-miniature, ground cover type, tailing rose to ever be released. Great for rock gardens, at the front of borders or in planters. Blooms repeatedly throughout the summer months into September.
This semi-miniature rose reaches 1.5' high and 2.5' wide. The deep pink buds open into a beautiful soft pink, semi-double blooms that get more full as plant ages. Flowers are born in clusters of 1-7 with each rose having aprox. 18 petals. Pale yellow stamens show when bloom is fully open adding a sort of appricot colour to the bush from a distance. Plant is very healthy and disease resistant to mildew and blackspot. The best we've seen! Foliage is a lovely deep glossy green. Hardy to zone 3 with little.
