| Dorothy Perkins White Which. Rambler(1908) |
| The sport of "Dorothy Perkins" Identical to it' parent plant, White Dorothy has small, double white blooms in large clusters instead of pink that her parent has. Buds open with pink tips. Foliage is glossy deep green and healthy. Most wichuraiana ramblers do fall prone to mildew if conditions are right, but she doesn't seem to be harmed too much, springing back each year. Bordeaux Mixture is what we use if leaves get heavily damaged. Placing her in full sun with lots of air circulation and watering regularly will certainly help a great deal. Just as vigorous as the parent she will grow to 20'wide or more so give her lots of space! As a Wichuraiana rambler, she blooms a bit later than most roses, mid to late July here in Nova Scotia and stays in blooms for a good month. Hardy to zone 4b |
