WILLIAM BAFFIN
Explorer Climber/Shrub (1983
This wonderful rose is, in our opinion, is the hardiest
climber ever bred! Along with that, it blooms freely
and repeatedly with beautiful raspberry pink petals
and prominent yellow centers. It is semi-double with
an average of 20 petals. Bloom clusters of up to 30
flowers make quite a show! Very resistant to
blackspot and mildew makes it certainly a low
maintenance rose from a spraying point of view.
William will send out shoots about 6' tall at one time.
Ultimately he can grow up to 8 ft. if properly pruned.
Gardeners in cold climates owe a debt of gratitude to
it's breeders for they certainly did a great job on this
one! Hardy to zone 2a.
parentage: open pollenation of rosa kordesii
and a pollen parent from Red Dawn & Suzanne.
