WILLIAM BOOTH
EXPLORER Shrub Rose(1999)
A new release from the Explorer Series is William Booth. Will is a vigorous rose
that, on its own roots, will send out long arching canes up to 5'long making it a
great pilar rose with growth habits similiar to that of Alexander MacKenzie. We
like to classify it as a pillar rose as it does not grow tall enough to be called a
climber.
Although it really looks nice on a 6' trellis or arch!! It's long, arching
canes bear clusters of single, deep pink flowers with a prominent white base and
yellow center. Clusters are quite large in groups of up to 10 blossoms in each.
Foliage is a beautiful shiny green and it resists blackspot and mildew very well.
Repeats well into late September. Slight fragrance. Hardy to zone 3 with little
dieback. Another great rose from a wonderful program now defunked. Too bad!

Complex parentage: cross of plant#L83
x (R. kordesii x breeding line which
included Arthur Bell and Applejack.
